SpaceFarm: OVERVIEW

Objectives:

1. To create a self-sustainable living environment with emphasis on the following:

a. Financial Independence

b. Energy & water independence/ Development of alternative energy

c. Eco friendly: small, portable structure

d. To lead the way in creating an affordable, simple lifestyle and a quick solution to financial trouble.

2. To develop a more simplistic lifestyle:

a. Living off the land:

i. Gardening/ farming
ii. Using natural water sources- rain, river, lakes
iii. Renewable energy-passive and active solar heating, solar electric energy.

b. Reduce consumerism (excess)

i. Smaller space= less room for excess
ii. Living an examined life- one in which you have determined what is important (less excess).

c. Cut out the middle man

i. Reduce demand of mass-produced goods

1. Large factories/ farms
2. Shipping –trucks, planes, trains, etc…

3. Conduct research for the benefit of others

a. Lead the way for others to create their own independent lifestyle.

b. Document and present:

i. Project objectives
ii. Means of achieving
iii. Project status/results

This can be achieved with the use of press releases, flyers, magazine articles, blogs, e-mail updates, and websites.
